Volvo Construction Equipment is increasing its demolition lineup with the new 38-ton EC380E straight boom excavator, which replaces the traditional boom excavator with a 23-foot excavator. Straight arm and special arm.

According to the manufacturer, this customized excavator has a significant height advantage compared to the standard model, as well as excellent reach, stability, cab protection and durability, making it the one that works in difficult demolition applications Ideal for people.

"When our customers require increased coverage without sacrificing stability or performance, we will work hard to achieve it," said Tony den Hoed, Volvo CE's National Demolition Account Director. "The EC380E straight arm is a good example. Increasing coverage while protecting operators means that demolition contractors can now take on more challenging tasks with complete confidence."

For excavators designed with the highest safety, the EC380E is no exception. The cab is protected from falling debris by a falling object guard installed on the frame, and thanks to the large windows with wipers and gaskets, the operator can maintain a good view of the work site. The sunroof and the front integral glass are made of P5A, which has the ability to resist high-strength impact. Standard LED lights on the cantilever and platform help visibility at night, and can optionally provide additional lighting for the cab and counterweight.

The EC380E straight arm is equipped with several useful standard features that are valuable in demolition applications, including X1 and X3 auxiliary pipes, quick installation and oil drain pipes, and water pipes connected to dust suppression systems.

The dust suppression system is equipped with a 7.9 gallons per minute (30 liters per minute) lift pump that delivers water to four arm-based nozzles, which together form a fine mist containing dust. The system can work in manual mode or automatic mode, where water is sprayed only when the accessory is running. The system is also equipped with a high-pressure water gun installed behind the cab to clean the machine.

Since the 22,046 lb (10,000 kg) counterweight is hydraulically removable, it is easy to transport the machine, and the operator can safely use heavy tools to work in a higher range.

The EC380E straight arm has a highly reinforced main frame made of heavy-duty steel plate with bolt head protection. It also has heavy (or super heavy) undercover protection, durable abdomen protection and complete track protection. Slewing ring covers and heavy-duty side doors with screens and shutters provide additional protection.

The bolt-on side impact protection system protects the upper structure from damage. Through additional protection of the bucket and boom cylinder, the machine is further protected from damage by debris. The reversible cooling fan expels any debris stuck in the radiator, helping to keep the radiator clean and the engine running at an optimal temperature.

Like all Volvo excavators, the EC380E straight-boom boom is covered by Volvo's lifetime frame and structure warranty, covering the frame, boom, and boom for the entire initial ownership period. It can also use ActiveCare Direct for one year free of charge, which is a 24/7/365 active machine monitoring and fleet utilization report service directly provided by Volvo.
